Welcome to the Coláiste Muire Transition Year Newsletter.

Each week there will be news updates on sport, the wider world, what's happening at school and in TY. There are also reviews, and articles from the foreign students, and I will (hopefully, because I can't always think of something to write) be writing about whatever comes into my head. You can use the archives page to view all the previous newsletters.

If you have any comments, questions or suggestions, please send them to me at ty4bmorgane@yahoo.ie

Review of fourth year

In my opinion I think every one really enjoyed the year we had. It was filled with entertaining moments and great trips like the surfing day Garretstown , which everyone really enjoyed. Also Cappenalea was a great week for everyone. Even though some were weary at the beginning by the end of the week we had come together as a team and we all became closer as friends.  Work experience was a great experience to have as most people found out what they would like to do or what they defiantly would not like to do. The music workshop was very interesting we spent two days writing music and playing around with how we thought it should sound or what instruments we should use to compliment the music and our voices. The highlight of the year was the film, BALE OUT, in this movie we tried to get the message across that drugs should never be in the hands of a young person but they dealt with the situation in the right way by handing over the bale of drugs to the guards. Everyone in the year was involved in this and we all had fun making the film. I think it was one of the best experiences during the year as we learnt a lot about movie making, acting, and the editing of films.

Niamh's random question of the week
